Yup, Coconut grove seafood festival is here! The official inauguration date is October 15th and will be marked by having the first bushel of claws escorted by no other than Mr. Monty Trainer, a name synonymous with seafood in Miami. “I’ve been in the business for longer than most people have been alive,” exclaims the Coconut Grove icon . The helicopter and stone crabs will touch down around 10:00am on Sunday. This October 21st and 22nd Miami Marine stadium becomes a paradise for seafood lovers. Bushels of shrimp, oysters, crawfish, lobster, clams and fresh fish will take over the park. With all kinds of seafood prepared in a variety of ways, the festival will have vendors offering everything from Bahamian cracked conch, Jerk grilled fish, paella, ceviche, lobster rolls and so much more. As you browse through vendors selling nautical-themed jewelry, art, and decorations, you can experience live Caribbean-themed music or take the kids to the festival’s family fun zone, including obstacle courses, rides, face painting, interactive exhibits and more.
